As we move closer and closer towards seeing Diablo IV launch in 2023, we’re bound to see several leaks appear over the next few months. It seems the latest ones have Blizzard running around on the internet trying to clear the images and updates from a secret Alpha test. Spoiler alert: you’re about to get some details you may not want to know about just yet.

The first bit of news was from Jason Schreier, a reporter at Bloomberg, heading to Twitter to announce some NDA leaks he discovered. Fortunately, he decided not to mention what the leaks were about, and there were some positive notes about Diablo IV

However, the actual testers and other fans on Reddit weren’t so kind. One post went all out and shared footage from the character customization section of Diablo IV. Despite many readers commenting that this act goes against NDA rules, the post is still live, and you can see how much detail will go into making an individual character for a class.

Another Reddit post focused more on the Smart Loot system. If you somehow missed out on Diablo III or didn’t take note of it, the Smart Loot system drops equipment and items related to your character’s class. That means you can’t grind levels with a wizard to get items for your future new Necromancer warrior.

While many players are divided on how they feel about this, it seems like it’s making a return in Diablo IV. Some feel they should have the freedom to grind items for other characters, while others love that they can focus on their main class. At least we know that the monetization that appeared in Diablo Immortal won’t appear in Diablo 4, right?
